GE Energy Puts Lesson Plans Into Action

In 2004 GE Energy launched Diabetes Prevention@GE Energy, a diabetes prevention program for employees at high risk for diabetes. The ten one-hour classes are adapted from diabetesatwork.org lesson plans. The Diabetes Prevention Program classes are offered over a six-month period. Programs are offered in Atlanta, GA, Houston, TX, Greenville, SC, and Schenectady, NY. Each session has 45 to 50 minutes for education and 10 to 15 minutes of exercise led by an exercise video.

Note: Users may download and adapt these materials. Some GE Energy trademark language has been omitted from these documents.
